The graph below presents the distribution of % villages / communities who have progressively increasing level of rural water supply services in each state. Across country, 6 % communities can access a Safely Managed Water Supply (as defined per JMP) and 36 % communities can access an improved available when needed water supply. State with higher light read and dark red columns indicate a larger percentage of communities with no access to improve water supply.

To evaluate % population numbers need to be multiplied by population of villages so the data is not directly comparable to JMP figures
